Strategic Development Specialists has an active government relations and economic development practice, providing its clients with regulatory and legislative counsel on a wide range of issues; business development; and assistance with identifying and securing grant funding and other modes of promoting and implementing important projects and programs. The services provided include contract procurement, tracking of legislation, development of and advocacy for or against specific legislation, meeting facilitation and coalition building.

We work closely with the Regional Economic Development Councils on behalf of private sector clients to secure funding to facilitate business expansion and job creation, and have also assisted public clients with large-scale regional municipal cooperation projects with large economic and efficiency impacts. We enjoy a statewide presence, enabling us to help clients negotiate the maze of statutory and regulatory requirements that are an integral part of doing business in New York State. Strong relationships in Albany and at all levels of government throughout the state allow us to facilitate face-to-face meetings with key legislative and regulatory principals and staff personnel so that clients may present their needs and concerns directly.
